Tna Impact, Video Games and Hans Red Pants

As we all know, Ive always been into video games, theres no 2 ways about it, Hockey yes, loved it to death and still do, Bmx, wish I was still able to ride with out pinching nerves. I keep busy with alot of diffrent things and with the wedding coming closer and closer every day I have to pay attention to that more then anything. I mean shit! It will be the happiest day of my life. Next to the day Lillian was born (God I miss her), and when more pop out. But through it all when everyone was out gettin smashed at the bars with fake ids, I was home haulin off on FF7 and Smb 3.
Ive had every system under the blue sun and I personally am rather bias toward Ps3. My coworkers and a few of my friends agree with me its better to see blue and green lights then it is to see red ones. Anyway So with all the hustle and bustle coming with games, I figured id take a few minutes to talk about some of the games I myself have been waiting for and picked up.

Tna Impact: The hardcore alternative to the norm, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in all it's violent, 8-sided glory is coming to current day consoles, featuring TNA stars Somoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown, Rhino, Christopher Daniels, Christian Cage, AJ Styles, and more. This game could have been so much more. In a time were storylines are garbage and WWE will push guys who can't wrestle and release the guys who can (Shannon Moore). Tna is an Incredible alternative, The commentary isnt fantastic, and lets face it, Im sick of Sting being in the direct storyline picture, but the Talent this company is producing or growing who have been misused in the past or made the jump from Ring Of Honor (Briscoes its your time!) are making there names in Tna, and the old guys who are clinging to there spots still are stuck in the middle. Personally i feel as if tna needs to release booker and nash, ban sting from the ring and push the YOUNG talent, such as the Murder city machine guns Robert Roode, James Storm and the always exciting X Division.. Tna has interesting match concepts followed by great wrestling. Thou on a smaller scale, I think the Mid card talent in Tna is more exciting to watch then Dave Batista. These guys understand its about making your way through the indies and respecting the business, face it folks Tna is the future.
Not to take anything away from Tna but midways track record with Wrestling games is not too good. But for a reviving effort with a new company Its not bad.. This game is very bare bones. Not too many types of matches, a lackluster Caw and only 30 characters who were chosen by the Tna Faithful and I do respect there picks. Alot of empahasis in this game was placed on the look and feel which is very acurate, if you have ever been to a phw show in the worcester armory you understand, or to the impact zone or a tna show for that matter. Its awesome, colorful and realistic. The Controls are very simple and hard to train yourself to play on if you religiously play Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 or 2008. Gameplay in my eyes for this gets a B. An excellent first showing. Features... Im being polite here and giving them a C+ . A few things I feel could have been added to this game to make it more extensive:

Elevation X
King Of the Mtn
Titile belts to win and defend
Longer Story Mode
Terror Dome
Curryman and Petey Williams
The Knockouts Why would you not showcase the "best womens divsion" in wrestling
Six Sides of steel
PPV Venues

Note to Midway: I understand there have been a few large changes in the company, but this wasnt a bad first effort. Please listen to the fans as Thq has for us all of these years.

Tna Impact Grade: B- Not bad thou :)

As we Progress into the Christmas holiday you will see more and more games coming out, Smackdown 2009 is due, The highly acclaimed Bioshock Finally makes its way to Ps3 (with a demo october 2nd) Tuesday the 16th is Pure and Star Wars Force Unleashed which is gearing up to be one of the best releases of this month, Lego Batman is the 23rd to add to the fray.
